Let's face it, sometimes an "alternative hairstyle can be tough to manage but when created with care, is a fun, edgy and inspiring way to feel beautiful! So dreadlocks are one of those styles...they take time and care to manage them. I recently spent an afternoon with friends, one of whom has very long (natural) dreads. I was able to see how she cares for them. She had a substantial amount of new growth that needed to be smoothed-in. My friend started by letting me know that she never uses gel or mousse and she is a vegetarian. So...she used pure black castor oil and worked with one piece of dreadlock at a time. She saturated each dread from the root (twisting it with her fingers as she went down the strands). According to her past experience, the Black Castor Oil eventually dries to a smooth shine...it is not sticky but it holds the dread's form securely. It took her over an hour to do her entire head because, as I said, she has very long hair. It was time-consuming for her but the result of having individual, smooth and healthy dreadlocks was well-worth the effort. She looked beautiful and she does it using organic, all-natural products. When I shared with her about Morrocco Method using all-natural ingredients, she couldn't wait to check them out!
