The Perpetrators of Crime Against Hair Regrowth

1. Isopropyl Alcohol

Also used in antifreeze  and as a solvent in shellac, this hair product ingredient is no good for hair regrowth.

2. Mineral Oil

This derived substance is commonly used petroleum ingredient. It coats the skin just like plastic wrap.  It stops the skin fro releasing toxins and can slow down normal cell development.

3. PEG-Polyethylene Glycol

Used in cleansers to dissolve oil and grease as well as thicken products. PEG contribute to stripping the Natural Moisture Factor, leaving the immune system vulnerable.

4. Propylene Glycol (PG)

Used as a "surfactant"or wetting agent and solvent, this ingredient is actually the active component in antifreeze. It is used in industry to break down protein and cellular structure (what the skin is made of) yet is found in most forms of make-up, hair products, lotions, after-shave, deodorants, mouthwashes and toothpaste.

 5. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)

Used as detergents and surfactants, these closely related compounds are found in car wash soaps, garage floor cleaners and engine degreasers. This ingredient is particular harmful to promoting hair regrowth. For more information check out our article on SLS.

 6. Chlorine

Exposure to chlorine in tap water, showers, pool, laundry products, cleaning agents, food processing, sewage systems and many others, can effect health.  Even though you will not see Chlorine on personal care product labels, it is important for you to be aware of the need to protect your skin when bathing and washing your hair.

7. DEA (Diethanolamine), MEA (momoethanolamine), and TEA (Triethanolamine)

These are hormone disrupting chemicals and are known to form cancer causing nitrates and nitrosamines. These are commonly found in most personal care products that foam, including bubble baths, body washes, shampoos, soaps and facial cleansers.

8. FD & C Color Pigments

Many color pigments cause skin sensitivity and irritation. Absorption of certain colors can cause depletion of oxygen in the body and even death according to A Consumer's Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients.

9. Fragrence

Fragrance is present in most deodorants, shampoos, sunscreens, skin care body care and baby products. Many of the compounds in fragrance are carcinogenic or otherwise toxic.

10. Imdiazolidinyl Urea and DMDM Hydantoin

These are just two of the many preservatives that release formaldehyde (formaldehyde-donors). Formaldehyde can irritate the respiratory system, cause skin reactions and trigger heart palpitations. Exposure to formaldehyde may cause joint pain, allergies, depression, headaches, chest pains, ear infections, chronic fatigue, dizziness and loss of sleep

Lice? Yikes! Morrocco Method to the Rescue.

I hate that I have to even send this testimony in, but I am sure it is one for the books! I have been using MM since March. After I started to order the Family Size bottles, I also started to use MM on my kids about a month and a half ago. Just before I started to use MM on my kiddos, my two year old daughter was complaining of an itchy neck. I started to use MM on her thinking the baby shampoo was too harsh. Thinning hair, let us help!

Thank you so much, Anthony for your truly wonderful and nourishing haircare products. My hair has now reached shoulder length and my friends are asking me what have I been doing to my hereditary thinning hair as it's so much thicker and healthier looking now. I tell them I use Morrocco Method and direct them to your website. Hair is a big passion and source of worry for me due to female pattern baldness. Beautiful Dreadlocks

Let's face it, sometimes an "alternative hairstyle can be tough to manage but when created with care, is a fun, edgy and inspiring way to feel beautiful! So dreadlocks are one of those styles...they take time and care to manage them. I recently spent an afternoon with friends, one of whom has very long (natural) dreads. I was able to see how she cares for them. She had a substantial amount of new growth that needed to be smoothed-in. My friend started by letting me know that she never uses gel or mousse and she is a vegetarian. So...she used pure black castor oil and worked with one piece of dreadlock at a time. She saturated each dread from the root (twisting it with her fingers as she went down the strands). According to her past experience, the Black Castor Oil eventually dries to a smooth shine...it is not sticky but it holds the dread's form securely. It took her over an hour to do her entire head because, as I said, she has very long hair. It was time-consuming for her but the result of having individual, smooth and healthy dreadlocks was well-worth the effort. She looked beautiful and she does it using organic, all-natural products. Hair Loss: Normal or Not?

Hair loss, a worry to us all and yet we experience it every day. You see it in the shower, on your pillow, maybe even on your clothes. The hard part is discerning between what is a normal amount of hair loss and what is an abnormal amount of hair loss. But have no fear Morrocco Method is here! Research shows that the average person loses anywhere from 40 to 120 strands of hair a day, depending on age, hair growth cycle, and hair amount. So if this describes your normal shedding pattern you're in the clear, if not there are a few things you should consider. The most important factor to think about is what is causing your hair loss? Without knowing the cause it can be very difficult to come up with a proper solution!   There are many possible causes for hair loss. It is not merely a symptom of aging. The main reasons are: stress, hair products and styles, frequent use of synthetic products and chemicals (relaxed hair, chemically colored hair, etc.), hair being over processed, wearing to tight of ponytails and nutrient deficiencies.
